Grand Rapids hosts many annual festivals and events throughout the year. From the Blues on the Mall, Festival of Arts, and Celebration on the Grand held in downtown Grand Rapids, to the Tulip Time Festival in Holland. There is Art in Park, Kent County’s Bluegrass Festival and two area film festivals. The “Michigan Pride Celebration” for Gay and Lesbians takes place in June, The Dell Shannon Days festival and the “Thunder on the Grand” power boat drag racing on the Grand River, as well as the the annual Muskegon Air Show. Events are held at Devos Hall, VanAndel Arena, Grand Rapids DeltaPlex & Expo Center and other halls, as well as large number of regional parks and fir grounds.
